Located next to the Space Needle at the Seattle Center, Chihuly Garden and Glass spans 1.5 acres. It provides a look at the inspiration and influences that form the career of artist Dale Chihuly. Be sure to take full advantage of all the Exhibition has to offer, including eight interior galleries, a lush outdoor garden, a centerpiece Glasshouse, The Bookstore, and the Art Plaza & Café. A free audio tour is available on the website and is highly recommended.
Rated as the #1 of 470 things to do in Seattle on Trip Advisor.
Meet in the lobby 10:45-10:55. Tour is at 11:00 am. Gallery 5 (Mille Fiori) is temporarily closed so we have reduced admission as reflected above (up to $5.00 off). Exact pricing information has been challenging especially in regard to group pricing. It has been determined that our seniors will get better pricing with General Admission rather than Group Pricing, so it was decided to forgo the group pricing.
LUNCH: Meet back in the lobby and, as a group, we can decide between the Bar at Chihuly or the Armory Food and Event Hall.
The Bar at Chihuly Garden and Glass—Meal prices are $10.00-$18.00. No reservations and no large group tables are available. First come, first serve. The newly opened bar serves food and drink. It recently received an excellent review in the Seattle Times on February 19th. The Bar showcases over 25 of Dale Chihuly’s personal collections, all non-art glass. The Bar is located on the north side of the Exhibition adjacent to the Seattle Center Monorail Station and the Armory. The Armory is food court style and offers Blue Water Taco, Kabab, Matt’s Fish Basket, Mod Pizza, Premier Meat Pies, Wing Dome, and many others. Seating style unknown.
PARKING: These parking garages are operated by the City of Seattle and offer the best rates for most visitors.
Fifth Ave. N. Garage: Fifth Ave. N & Republican Street
Mercer Garage: Third Ave. N. & Roy Street
The monorail is a convenient way to get to Chihuly Garden and Glass from downtown. Just hop on at Westlake Station and you’ll be dropped off at the Exhibition in a few minutes.
And don’t forget street parking is free on Sundays.
To ensure we have sufficient numbers to receive the group rate, please RSVP to Sue Luhman at (425)785-2498 or the OCTC website at the link below. We look forward to having you join us.
