Our Mission:
To encourage and promote the admiration and ownership, restoration, and preservation of the 1955, 1956 and 1957 Thunderbirds.
Our History:
The Olympic Classic Thunderbird Club is one of the original 6 T Bird clubs that formed CTCI and holds the position of Chapter #1 within CTCI. The club is a very active group, traveling extensively. We put on the first regional convention in our area in 1977.
For many years our club has had the most T-Birds driven the farthest to the international and regional conventions, members acquiring many trophies for the same. We are primarily a social group, and try to schedule our outings on the 3rd Sunday of the month. These outings are usually driving, garage, or museum tours plus other events of interest to the membership. We try to have at least one over-night trip a year, not including conventions. Meetings include a business meeting in January to elect officers and another in November to plan the next year’s events.
Our members are mainly from the Puget Sound Area of Washington State. Because our membership covers a wide geographic area, our outings range from the Canadian border to the Oregon border, and many into Eastern Washington. We also have a close relationship with our friends from the British Columbia area of Canada.
